Rowing 3,000 miles to carry the names of those we’ve lost.
Four ordinary people. One extraordinary crossing. Every mile rowed in remembrance - raising vital funds for Samaritans and Changing Lives. Silence costs lives, together, we can change that.

This December, we will take on an extraordinary challenge: rowing across the Atlantic Ocean.
It’s one of the toughest tests of endurance and resilience, but the crossing itself is only part of the story. Every stroke we row helps strengthen awareness for suicide prevention with Samaritans and Changing Lives.
Why We Row
Team Spirit is taking on The World’s Toughest Row - Atlantic 2026 to raise awareness of suicide prevention and mental health, and to honour those affected by loss and crisis.
We row to use a demanding endurance challenge to create practical impact and meaningful conversation around mental health.
The Crew
-

Penny Mallory
Mental toughness speaker and coach, former rally champion and adventurer, Penny thrives on extremes and now faces the ultimate challenge - rowing the Atlantic.
-

Susie Randle
Cabin crew professional and private nanny, Susie brings calm, compassion and unshakable resilience - vital for maintaining team morale.
-

Georgia-Lili Robertson
Human geography graduate, army reservist and sportswoman, George brings endurance, heart and humour to every mile. She rows in memory of her brother, he was a farmer.
-

Jon Hardie
Jon has 9 years’ experience in the armed forces; including 3 years flying the RAF Voyager air-to-air refuelling tanker on a wide range of missions - from leading tactical formations to global transport operations.
The Challenge:
The World’s Toughest Row
3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean
On 12 December 2026, we will row away from La Gomera, a small island in the Canaries. We’ll have all the food, water, kit and spare parts for the 40(ish) days we expect to be rowing to Antigua. Our boat ‘Legacy’ is an RX45, designed and built by Rannoch Adventure.
The Cause
Our Charities
Team Spirit is committed to raising funds and awareness for suicide prevention, and supporting those in crisis. Silence costs lives - together, we can change that.
-
Samaritans is the charity that prevents suicide through the power of human connection. Connecting people in crisis with trained volunteers who will always listen.
Every 90 minutes in the UK, someone dies by suicide. But talking saves lives.
Every 10 seconds Samaritans answer a call for help, and every £10 raised has the power to answer a potentially life-saving call.
-
A national UK charity, Changing Lives deliver direct, front line support to those facing the most challenging circumstances, including homelessness.
Changing Lives recognise that everyone’s journey is different and that with the right support, anyone can make positive change, for good.
Donations are currently down by around 40% so your support is desperately needed all over the UK.

We’re raising funds for mental health charities and honour the people who matter most.
For a £50 donation, you can add a loved one’s name and message to our boat, Legacy — carried 3,000 miles across the ocean as part of our Hull of Remembrance.
Or simply support the row with any amount. Every donation helps save lives and break the silence around mental health.

We’re working with organisations who care about mental health and want to be part of an extreme endurance challenge. Silence costs lives - together, we can change that.
Our partnerships programme is now live - offering brand visibility in return for funding or practical support, with opportunities for post-row team visits with ‘Legacy’ and motivational talks.
